Dr. Sara Damiani was raised just north of the Twin Cities in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Her family bred and raised Paso Fino horses, which sparked her interest in caring for animals. From there, she set her sights on becoming a veterinarian. She was fortunate enough to have her parents enroll her in riding lessons at the age of 5. In addition to competing with her Paso Fino horses, she showed Half Arabians in English and Western Pleasure.
Dr. Damiani graduated from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Animal Science, and received her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Sara completed a year-long internship at Wilhite and Frees Equine Hospital in Peculiar, Missouri where she refined her skills in equine medicine. She enjoys all aspects of equine medicine but especially loves sports medicine and reproduction.
Outside of work, Dr. Damiani enjoys horseback riding, spending time outdoors, and going to a variety of music concerts.
